The Melbourne Undergraduate Scholarships Program is one of the most generous and comprehensive scholarship programs in Australia. The University awards a number of scholarships to outstanding commencing Australian and international students based on academic merit.

Melbourne National Scholarships
Melbourne National Scholarships are nationally recognised awards highly sought after by outstanding students from across Australia. In 2009 there are over 220 National Scholarship holders at the University of Melbourne including over 70 interstate students.
It is essential to apply for a Melbourne National scholarship. Submit an application online to the Melbourne Scholarships Office from 21 September 2009. Applications close 2 November 2009.
International Undergraduate Scholarships
The University has awarded over 280 International Undergraduate Scholarships to students from a variety of countries and schools. International Undergraduate Scholarships are available to international students commencing the Bachelor of Commerce. Selection is based on academic merit.
No scholarship application is required. All eligible students will be considered and ranked against other international applicants on the basis of academic merit.
Melbourne Access Scholarships
Access Melbourne is a combined special entry and access scholarships scheme designed to increase participation of students from diverse backgrounds. One thousand of the University's new undergraduate Commonwealth supported places will be offered to students who have applied through Access Melbourne. In addition, many of these students will be awarded a Melbourne Access Scholarship.
Travelling Scholarships
Travelling scholarships are available to assist students enrolled at the University to undertake part of their studies at an overseas institution. There are Melbourne Global Scholarships, Melbourne Global Financial Assistance, government loans and other travelling scholarships available.
Faculty of Economics and Commerce Scholarships
The Faculty of Economics and Commerce offers scholarships to local and international students offered a place in the Bachelor of Commerce, for the duration of their course.

Commerce Opportunity Bursary
Victorian residents who have applied for entry into the Bachelor of Commerce may be eligible for a Commerce Opportunity Bursary. Two Bursaries are available to assist high achieving students who are in financial need, or are otherwise disadvantaged. Each Bursary is valued at $15,000 per annum, for the duration of the course.
Candidates must apply for the Bachelor of Commerce through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC), and submit a Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) application providing evidence of financial hardship and other disadvantage.
Local Undergraduate Merit Scholarships
Local Undergraduate Merit Scholarships are available annually to domestic students commencing the Bachelor of Commerce . Selection is based on academic merit. Students must be enrolled full-time for the duration of their degree. The scholarships are valued at a maximum of $7000 for three years.
No application is necessary. All domestic students who are offered a place in the Bachelor of Commerce are automatically considered.
International Undergraduate Merit Scholarships
International Undergraduate Merit Scholarships are available annually to international students commencing the Bachelor of Commerce.
The awards are valued at 50% fee remission for the duration of the course, and selection is based on academic merit.
No application is necessary. Eligible students offered a place in the Bachelor of Commerce are automatically considered.
A.G Whitlam International Undergraduate Partner Scholarships
The A.G. Whitlam International Undergraduate Scholarships are available through the generosity of the late Arthur Gordon Whitlam, and are funded from the A.G. Whitlam Trust.
Available to internatonal students commencing the Bachelor of Commerce, they cover 50% fee remission for the duration of the course. To be eligible candidates must have attended one of the following international partner institutions: Trinity Foundation Program, Higher Education Learning Program, Taylors College, Sunway College, Beijing Normal University Zhuhai, Markham College, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic or Temasek Polytechnic.
No application is necessary. Eligible students offered a place in the Bachelor of Commerce are automatically considered.
